Sacred Art

Sacred Art is more than an event.

It is an experience where the secular and the sacred converge. We invite you into a curated environment transformed by art, music and activations that create visual theater and expressions of life.

Each year carries a fresh narrative, inviting us deeper into mystery while sustaining the work of our nonprofit, Zion Gate.

This year, the story we step into is: All Saints, commemorating those who have gone before us.

All Saints

The inception of All Saints began about six years ago with the passing of my Uncle Tito. I remember sitting at his funeral, staring at his portrait, and in that moment the idea of a Sacred Art show that honors those who have gone before was born. What I didn’t realize then was that I would also walk through the loss of my mother-in-law, Esther, and later my own father before bringing this experience to life. Looking back, perhaps if I had known the depth of grief ahead, it would have felt too heavy to bear..

Yet even though these loved ones are gone, they are not forgotten—they live on with me. Within the Bible, Hebrews 12:1 speaks of a “Great Cloud of Witnesses,” that is the saints who have gone before us. They are not distant; they cheer us on, reminding us that the race of life is not a sprint but a relay race. Each generation carries the baton forward, and those who came before await the fulfillment of the race that stretches across all of history.

All Saints is a commemoration of those who have passed, but not as the forgotten dead. They are alive in Christ, alive in us, and their lives continue to speak as we run our race. They watch us awaiting the fullness of their reward. Death is not the end, but a doorway.

Those sanctified in Christ are All Saints. (I Corinthians 1:2)

All Saints remembers the departed, not as shadows, but as living presence. Their voices echo in us as we run, reminding us that the way we live now shapes eternity.
